When you have a listbox and at run-time you select a value from it (ex. apple), does it not hold that "apple" value when you select it, or does it only "select" the value when submitted to the database.
Looking through the page source via firefox, it doesn't show the listbox value for the specific person as having any value. I guess it gets value once submitted server side.
So my question is: I can't do conditional javascript code (if/then) on this listbox client-side, i would have to do it server side?

NewRecord.ListBox1.value
Case sensitive during Java Script it work for me (client side)
use validate what people choose and disable or enable few checkbox (Client Side)
maybe i did not understand your issue.

Yeah, maybe we are on the same page.
I want to use the listbox value to determine a number value that goes in a textbox
ex. if listbox = "apple", then textbox = 4
I was wondering if this could be done in javascript, in an editable grid.
Do it during onblur event, so when they select "apple" after they leave that box, it makes the 4 appear in the textbox
