another quickie - in quick publish I must always publish twice e.g. save page, quick publish, save again & quick publish - to get the correct version on the server
is this behaviour normal?

No, do not think so.....
I use local XAMPP server setup.
While in Desing, HTML or Code Mode CTRL+SHIFT+F10 will bring me
after save publish directly in browser. Or just click the ?camera? Icon.
