The site is using the ADODB inserts and updates. This customer transferred to our company from another host, which may or may not have built the site to begin with. I have used the trial version of codecharge4, to do some changes to the site (But not on these pages) The trial has expired, Our company is not going to spend $500 on a software program just for 1 site. So I need to figure this problem out?
Has anyone had issues with the ADODB update?

Firstly it is $139 for a single language.
But back to your issue, the answer is no. The only time you get records inserted, instead of updated is if the keys are not specified or do not match the criteria.
Check the database and match it against the one that is transferred.
$139 will save you more than $139 worth of effort.

More information: You are partially right I did not have the primary keys set. Unfortunately I do not normally work with MS SQL Server, So setting the Primary keys was not visually apparent how to do. I have figured that out.
I have tested an existing record, this still creates a duplicate insert instead of an update. Now I have created a new record then went to edit, with the same results?
I don't know if this would make any difference? The site was originally built with CodeCharge 3. I made the edits with a trial of CodeCharge 4. I am comparing the original code to the CCS4 changes. The code is very different between the 2.
