Doing a test run on this. Created everything that the example pack said to do.

Went to "browse", selected the file and then went to hit the Add button. I got this message:

"Persits uploading component Persits.Upload is not found. Please install the component or select another one."

EDIT: I published and ran the example pack file upload example on our server and it ran fine without problems.

Must be something in my code.

Ok, so I changed my file upload component setting to "ASP/VBScript Upload" instaed of Persit Software ASPUpload. That allowed my test run to work, and it was uploading files.

Since I changed my entire project to this new file upload component...will it change anything in the rest of my project? I'm assuming since it's called "File upload component" that it only deals with file uploading :-)

Right now there are just minor issues with regards to the pop up showing file info from previous uploads instead of uploads for selected record.

That's correct. It simply inserts a different instance of the FileUpload
class into your project - affecting, therefore, only your file upload
controls.

I think I narrowed down my issue to when you are on the main file upload page and click "attach relevant documents" and it pops up the pop-up window for uploading. When I click the close window link. It doesn't close, and I assume it doesn't reload either.

I've noticed between the example pack version and mine is that my link doesn't have brackets around it like the example pack one has, in design mode. ex. {link} and mine would be link

Thanks Don. Would you happen to have any ideas about my close window link not working?

The upload example in the example pack uses a 2nd popup window to do the upload task. Couldn't you also have the upload feature on the original page, and have it upload and update from there?
