Just want to run this past everyone - the Ajax examples (the modal specific) does not work in ASP - correct?

The Ajax modal window example works in ASP for me. The documentation is SORELY LACKING in this area. I am currently trying to make my own modal window work by dissecting the lone modal window example.

The Ajax modal window example Yes provides works except for a bug I noticed; if an error occurs in your submission from the modal window..after that you cannot cancel the operation using the Cancel button on the modal window. I don't know yet if this is a bug in the example or a bug in CCS. I have submitted it to support and I'm awaiting their response.

I have come to the conclusion that the most if not all of the Ajax in the new CCS was a badly implemented after thought. I have at long last, with no responses from support, and no help from the samples and help got a modal dialog running.

This was only possible after manually editing the CSS reference since CCS was looking for the DIV's CSS in the wrong place.

Where am I now? I have screen that only shows a partial grey out - if you screen scroll the whole screen doesn't get greyed out. The modal shows as the last thing, below all my other elements and grids - so it doesn't hover. Copying the sample CSS over got it to hover the but the alignment is way off; I now started by trying to solve that - which I think I shouldn't need to.

Neither the sample or the help explains how to close the modal - but I got it to close on the click Cancel event - but what now on Add? if the add was not sucessfull?

I don't even want to think about what a struggle the call back to update the screen (and components) below is going to be. Luckily I'm so far from getting the modal to work correct, it shouldn't worry me I suppose

PS. That TD tag that CCS forces to left align in the standard CSS file is still there from 3.2 to 4.0 - so seems manually editing is the norm again.

I am having similar issues with the modal form in php. I can get it to grey things out although scrolling reveils that the whole screen is not greyed or even disabled. My record also shows on the bottom of the page and doesn't readjust itself.

This is a very poor implementation of the modal form and once again as with the dependant listboxes I will be creating my own ajax modal scripts as these are just not sufficient and help and documentation is of no use.

Update:
----------------------------------------------
I have just been plugging away at this modal form again through CCS and have finally figured out what the problem is with the PHP versions. When CCS Generates the CCS it links it to "../filename.css" instead of just "filename.css". This means it cannot find the modal css instructions and therefore the form is useless. Changed that one line of code and amazingly it works.

Yet another Bug in Version 4.00.00.3

W, followed link - thought I'd give it another bash - even the example is pretty shabby - open it up resize your browser so that it has a scroll bar on the right

open the modal - and then scroll up and down

that partial grey out hurts

ps. what is the current CCS version?

@T
4.00.004 -> 4.00.15-> 4.01.006
Stable enough for me, but I'm sure I'm not using every and all, to give you an opinion on stable.
I, however, am happy so far.

Walter
