 Grid builder link not working

CCS 3.2.0.1
MS Access

I have created these type of pages lots of times without any problems, however this one just doesn’t want to work.

I use the grid builder and then link one of the fields.

I set the page (created using the record builder) to link it to , with a parameter where ID = ID (ID is an autonumber field in the DB).

For example, I have 5 records in the DB, but no matter which link I click on, it loads the first record every time.

At the bottom of the browser when you mouse over the link it says the correct address ie: mywebpage.asp?ID=5 but when you click on it, it loads the info for mywebpage.asp?ID=1 – every time!

To make it even more confusing, the address in the browser (after the new record page loads) says: mywebpage.asp?ID=5, but displays mywebpage.asp?ID=1

What I have already done:
• deleted and recreated the grid page 3 times
• deleted asp page and regenerated
• deleted .ccp and regenerated
• deleted table in DB and created a new one
• I have even done all the above for the page it links to (the page that shows the record)

I am really at a loss with this. Any help / advise would be much appreciated

Cheers

Hi,

This may be a stupid answer but.....

Did you set the "where" clause on the receiving page to ID=ID ??

Just to make sure, because normally, as you stated, this should be a piece of cake...

Hi,

ID may be a reserved keyword in CCS. Try changing the parameter name to something other than ID.

Hi Rene,

thank you so much. You were not stupid asking that question - I was the stupid one! It worked as soon as I set it.

I think I have done these type of pages so often that I have become complacent.

Thanks also jkunstman. I actuallty use ID regularly and CCS has no problems with that.

Cheers!

Can you explain me how to achieve that thing you say? Im quite new, I want to have a grid where each record has a link to another grid that uploads data related to that record. Can you explain me or point me to a tut? Thanks.
