My table holds these fields: date, empid, regular_hours, ot_hours

It links to an employee table to get the employee names.

What is the best way to view the results in a report, so as to get a two-week payperiod summary of each person's hours for that pay period?

For example, if we had Joe, John, Sam as employees...I'd like to get a summary of what they worked for the pay period 1/1/08 to 1/15/08. Like display their names, and the dates and what they worked, then add up their time for that pay period.

I can't seem to get anything that looks like a viable report to use for timekeeping.

Have you figured this out?

The best I did was just a regular report. In report builder I choose to group by lastname, and do subtotals. Then I modified these subtotals to suit my needs. If you are grouping by a Name, then look in the Begin Name_Footer/End Name_Footer area of the report (in design mode) You can add labels in there to sum up the values per each person. The exact layout isn't what I initially wanted, but it seems to work very nice and it is easy to view. I have a search form to search between two dates to get the date range.
