The program will work fine and return everything from the database except it won't return the values of a "Description" field, where it's a Text field, it autosets to "Memo" but I changed it to Text manually and I can't get it to work either way.
instead of the text actually stored there, I get things like this:

net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.ClobImpl@ffeba4

but the SEARCH returns the right rows in a grid like if you search for month in the desription, it returns the ones with "month" in them.

So, I think the problem is somewhere in the "Grid", but I don't see where.

The server is MS SQL server standard edition version 8.00.2039

In both the original table and the view I'm using, it is: Text (nulls allowed)

Apparently, text isn't stored as "text" but as a pointer and it causes things to error, so you have to change one of the common files to be able to read it.
