On P4HT, DualCore and Core2Duo, running XP and/or Vista:
CCS 3.1 publish very slow when Windows Live One Care (licensed) is your
protector.
To speed things up, either tell WL1C to disable Virus protection (Change
OneCare settings, tab Virus &SpyWare)
or kill "MsMpEng.exe" through Taskmanager.
OneCare will use 25-40%CPU, CCS 2%
Have had MS-support analyse this for weeks now, no solution available.
Post this because Vista seems to deliver WL1C.

Dumped OneCare like a bad habit.
Had tried Commodo, but it was extrremely pbtrusice as well.
In the office we use Trend Micro. At home I am using Avast and so far I am
very pleased.

I'll add kudos for www.avast.com
We used to use trendmicro, but when they pissed me off one too many times, we found avast.
Have used the server and personal versions on all the companies computers for last 2 years and pretty much forgotten its there (which is good!). No spiking CPU and other crap.
cheers,
