Warning when renaming translations in Sorter

weird problem: when I generate a grid for a multilanguage site, all text is generated using the the {res:<identifier>} tag, where the translation identifiers are automatically assigned names by CodeCharge. To rename these identifiers, I right-clik on the tag and use "Edit Translation". So far, so good.

When I want to rename the translation identifier on a Sorter however, I use the "Edit Sorter ... Layout" option. Now the translation tag e.g. {res:Page_SortOrder} appears in the Caption field and I can rename it (for example: {res:SortOrder}. This also looks good.

However, when I now publish the page I get "Warning:The translation "Page_SortOrder" specified in the HTML template could not be found in the default locale’s resources (English).
The published page is okay, though.

As I am not a big fan of warnings when publishing pages, I tried to get rid of the warning, but - apart from changing the name back to the old name - nothing seems to work. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Anyone any ideas?

Thanks, Rob.

I do not think this is a bug.
AFAIK you should not rename the res:name but assign it values for the various languages.
It works ok for me, so either I misunderstand your post or you are indeed missing something
