Can any body tell me why the connection string builder function has stopped working for me? This used to work for me but has now stopped. I am using Win XP Sp2 and Studio 3.0.1.6.
The problem is - I open the Data Link Properties box, fill in the info for provider and data source, test the connection (which is good) and press OK. However, the Connection String box is then empty. I do not know enough about it in order to fill this in manually, so I am stuck.
Any help gratefully welcomed

Dear Jonno
I believe the connection string becomes blank after you put it in the Server section?
For my case when I have this problem I copied the connection string again and put it in the Design Tab section.
At the sever tab, put a tick mark on Same as Design.
Example
========
DBQ=\\192.70.5.143\nrp\supt\myform\mydb.mdb;DefaultDir=C:\supt\myForm;Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DriverId=25;FIL=MS Access;FILEDSN=c:\supt\myForm\mydb.mdb.dsn;MaxBufferSize=2048;MaxScanRows=8;PageTimeout=5;SafeTransactions=0;Threads=3;UID=admin;UserCommitSync=Yes;
