I'm sure there is a simple solution to this, I am just not very much used to the GUI yet for codecharge, and I don't know quite how to word my question to search with it.
What I am trying to do is record attendance for a group of people. I have a grid that looks like the following:
(label)Name (hidden)person_id | (textbox w/ datepicker)Date | (checkbox)Present
(label)Name (hidden)person_id | (textbox w/ datepicker)Date | (checkbox)Present
(label)Name (hidden)person_id | (textbox w/ datepicker)Date | (checkbox)Present
(button)Record
the form inserts three fields: person_id, group_id(in the query string), and attend_date. What I'm trying to do is move the date outside of the grid rows so I can choose 1 date for all the entries at once, so:
(label)Name (hidden)person_id | (checkbox)Present
(label)Name (hidden)person_id | (checkbox)Present
(label)Name (hidden)person_id | (checkbox)Present
(textbox w/ datepicker)Date | (button)Record
When I try to do this it tells me that my date field is a non-object Any suggestions?

Actually, I figured it out just as I hit the submit button.. simple change of the custom insert to look at date as "Form" instead of "Control".
