A lot of people ask if you can build some of the snazzy sites using CCS as an engine. Thought I would mention that our company uses CCS and we have been with the product since the first version of CC. Graphics designers come up with the templates but those of us on the programming team write any DB related stuff, using CCS and PHP (sometimes ASP). We've also use javascript, AJAX, XML - you name it. CCS has been a great product for us. To see some of the sites built using CCS, just check out the portfolio at http://www.newcitymedia.com. This is NOT a sales post - just wanted those of you using CCS to take heart that it really is a powerful and adaptable tool. I am very happy with it.

Pretty much all of our sites in the portfolio used either CC or CCS. We have built a bunch of sites - I am not sure how many. We have about 40 projects under construction now. We are using CCS3 now and converting over old CC sites when they get upgraded.

The way CCS separates the php from the presentation (html) has been great for us. It leaves the graphics designers (who are also our HTML and CSS experts) able to work indepently on their parts while the rest of us that do the database/php stuff work on our pieces. Our customers use Contribute (mostly) to edit static content, and an "administration" area we build for them for the dynamic (DB) content.

Jeannine,

I just found this post as I was browsing through the CCS forums. We are currently considering buying CCS.

I must say your post has helped boost our confidence in this product!!!

Most of the examples here are OK but they look like they were designed by a programmer and I mean no offense to programmers as I am one!

But the sites your company has done are awesome!

And I must say you have a VERY slick way of presenting your work. I'm just curious...do you also have your portfolio on CD as a leave-behind?

Anyway, thanks for the examples (and inspiration)!
