Hi,
I am having a problem for which there may be a simple solution!!
I have a form that is used to confirm the deletion of a record. It works fine and uses an image for the delete button. Update and insert were disabled for the form.

I have copied the page to a new page to save re-writing and now want to use it to update the record.
If I switch off 'delete' and switch on ''update' the delete button remains visible; the update button does not appear. if I try to assign a new image to the delete button I get the message.
"You're trying to select an image file that does not belong to the current Project.".
If I choose not to use an image for the button but use the button option instead it shows as 'Update' but does nothing when clicked other than repeat the confirmation message linked to the delete button.
I believe I should have made a form with all options available and then copied it to be butchered later. If so presumably different functions can be attached to the update, insert and delete buttons through the custom functionality or hand coding.
Is there any way of forcing the existing page to behave as far as the update button is concerned?
TIA
Tony

No, I have just rebuilt the whole record instead and I keep a fully enabled 'base' version which I then reduce in functionality.

Wanna laugh.....? That's the error I get when trying to select an external editor (dreamweaver) in the options section. I have to manualy add the path to dreamweaver because searching for it will get me the above error :-P

Not sure if this solves all, but for images to be used in Designmode:
The error occurs when you are useing (picking from the windows select
dialog) an image file from for instance "My Documents\Images" and so on.
That directory is not in your project path.
So, if like me, you use F:\working\projectname\source
and you have an images directory in there F:\working\projectname\images
than you would have to copy (/paste or drag and drop) the image from "My
Documents\Images" to
F:\working\projectname\images and then in Designer pick it from the last
directory.
At least it has to be the projects directory or below.

For the buttons I personally put them in the Style's images directory, if I
ever need to create one outside of the Style manager.
If button created within style manager, it will be put in the right place.
Also when publishing remember to set the Publish (what?) switch to include
your new images to the serverside.

I have the same problem just in inserting a simple image. Buy the lack of response I must be one of the very few. There must be someting wrong with my configuration setup because just trying to insert an imape ont the page I get this error. I have moved the images to the base directory, a sub directory called images and into the image directory of styles and I still get this error.
