Lately when I've been publishing things out of CCS, I've been getting serious issues.
For example --
The first time I published a project to the server, everything worked perfectly.
We then took the server on-site and set it up on the network's subnet and republished the project using the new IP information. We published it clean -- meaning we deleted the old publish before we republished, instead of republishing over. When we did this, our once beautiful database management pages started white-screening (it spits out blank HTML pages).
Having checked CCS's settings and determined them to be right, and looked at the published php's and html's and discovering them to be full of accurate data as well, I got upset. We checked the PHP settings on the server as well as Samba, Apache, MySQL, and all other related services. We CHMODded the folder and so far it still didn't work.
We brought the server back to our office and re-IP'd it, using the settings that had worked previously. Once we re-IP'd, CCS stopped publishing to the server altogether. CCS reports no errors of any kind but the target folder, once the publishing is finished, is empty.
There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the server, but if there's anything here I haven't thought of, please by all means suggest. For the moment I'm pinning the problem on CCS but I don't really know what the problem could be. All the publishing settings seem to be correct, so... it's wieeeerd.
Any thoughts?

I've posted for help from the support team and I can tell it's going to take awhile, so in the meantime I'll look for a differential here.
Symptoms: CodeCharge thinks it's successfully publishing it, but it's not. I get no error messages and it seems to work great, until you actually look at the target folder, which turns out to be really empty. Scary whiteness, like a whiteboard in an LA classroom.
Let's just give me the benefit of the doubt, assume I have two brain cells and have already thought to check my publishing settings, which means something else is wrong.
Based on the symptoms there are a list of things that could be wrong with it.
A) Samba isn't working.
I checked this out. Samba is working fine, I can map the Samba shares to my Windows drives and it's wonderful.
B) PHP isn't working.
This would account for why the end result of the PHP code is a blank HTML. By all accounts, however, PHP seems to be working. I can reinstall it, but let's assume that it won't work so that I have alternatives.
C) The Windows file output is screwing with spacing and botching up the code, making it unreadable on the Fedora Core box.
This is a little more obscure problem, since generally if you type up a php file on Windows it'll cross over to Linux fine. However, if CCS uses some crummy crossover tool like DOS->UNIX then it could be jerking around with the spacing. Fortunately, I've checked this and there is an option in publishing to publish to Linux/Unix file format. It doesn't help.
My publishing settings are screwed up and I'm just not noticing it.
I know you're thinking it.
Whatever problem this is, it's probably not a common one. Support asked me for the OS of the server, the OS of my machine, and the programming language I was working in. They then told me to check my publishing settings. Which means that's a common problem, whereas mine, just as assuredly, is not.
So! Any thoughts?

Note: PHP being broken should not prevent publishing, since it's just file transfer. It's network transfer too, so there's that.
I'm going to try publishing to my own C: drive and copy the files over, see what happens. If it works then I know it's something to do with the transfer process.

Update: I can't publish to my own C:\ drive either.
The publishing problem is therefore within CodeCharge itself.

Lucky for you (partly) because publishing to c: and then copying (ftp) over
to the server would have posted a new problem.
3.0.3.1 is publishing fine overhere so it is a specific problem.

It wasn't really my plan to publish and copy (^_^), since the result would have been horrible. I just needed to give it an easy place to publish to.
Believe it or not, I've found a potential solution... I thought about it and realized that this problem came up with a self-described newbie on another post I'd come across. His trial version had expired, and his symptoms were just like mine, but I'm not using a trial version so I dismissed that solution.
Now I got to thinking about it, I decided nothing else was making sense so I checked my registry. Whoowee. Nasty bit o spyware playing around in there, a bunch of my program settings and registration infos were gone. I checked Photoshop and Office and they were both gone too.
I cleaned it and am reinstalling... the problem should go away. I *could* just hack my registry but that might make God angry at me.

Hope it works for you çause I really find that CCS 3.0.3.1 is stable enough

I'm getting rather good at this differential thing. Lucky, since it's kind of my job. (@_@)
