Why I do I get this when I press obtain generated code? shouldn't I be getting the part that displays the grid?

Clarion,
I suppose you tried to get generated code fro Custom Show form event but got the code for Custom Show Page. It may happen if page and form have the same names. Just rename the form and reobtain code.
