Hi
I am able to store a file to server..but i want Download text or Database records from the webpage to client mechine with user given file name.
please help me

Even i have the same problem. I need to download files from the server to the client machine through my servlet. Also, is there any way the servlet to know whether the user has clicked on Ok or cancel on the Download Dialog box. I have an audit table into which the entry needs to go, only if the User clicks on Ok and downloads the file.
Any help will be appreciated.

Actually, the File you uploaded was saved in the directory that you configured at design time.
So, first you add Link Field to your design. then retrieve the uploaded filename from the database,strip the date and time part from the filename. At last, concate the relative path and filename, assign it to the corresponding attribute of Link Field.
