Greetings Fellow Code Chargers,

I have been working with CCS for about 2 weeks. I am fairly new to PHP. I am having difficulty with my directory navigation. I am using the Yellow Pages example that I imported from the CC2 program. The menu works fine if all the Subdirectories are shown example http://www.profilespc.com/ccs/carytown2/Default.php
As you can see it looks bad.

Example:
They root cat is “Apparel & Accessories”
And the subs are:
Accessories
Alterations
Clothing
Jewlery
Shoes

If I hide the subs and have the user navigate through using the root cat “Apparel & Accessories” and then to “Clothing” it does not list any “items” , But if I have the subs showing and the user clicks on “Clothing” it works. I am sure it has something to do with the root cat link.

I tried the example that CCS points to for this type of directory http://examples.codecharge.com/ExamplePack/Directory/Directory.php

In their example even if you click the root cat “Computers and Internet” first and then the sub “Software” you get the “items” displayed. I don’t have any idea what I am doing wrong. Does anyone know what it could be?

Furthermore what I would really like is incorporate a drop down menu with the root cat showing and when you click on the root cat link the sub cat’s drop down. Is this very difficult to implement inside of CCS or does this need to be done outside of CCS. The menu that http://www.vision.to/ uses is kind of what I am looking for. Could anyone point me to a good example or tutorial that nay explain how to do this. Thank you for any assistance.

Where are you trying to display your actual items?
Note on the example pack that the Directory is replaced with the results
once you drill down your two levels. Where are your results going to be
displayed?
Have you got items in any of your categories to test with?
