I am trying to create a form within CCS which gives a user the
ability to type in various information like Name, Email Address and
message to send a person registered with my system an email message.
Within this form, I am also wanting the validation that if they do
not fill in the various fields that a message will be displayed. I
know the builders have this validation and if a person creates a form
manually, how does one get this validation by selecting the various
options like Required and Input Validation. Or is this one of the
things that on a manual created form, I will have to manually enter
the validation information from looking at one of the builders.

Graham,
Just set Required property of the fields you want to be definitely filled to Yes.
