I am using CCS 2.3 with PHP/MySQL/Apache on Win 98SE
Has anyone got a solution for an upload progress bar?
As part of my little image gallery/db it is becoming necessary to know the progress of a 5-10Meg file upload.
There is a solution (which I am working on implementing) to be found at http://www.raditha.com/php/progress.php
With my limited PHP knowledge I am trying to integrate the progress bar part of the package to work with CCS (latest version) upload component. I found through my searching that Perl/CGI is needed to make up for functions that PHP does not support, like - PHP doesn't have access to the file while it's being uploaded. - Detecting the connection/server speed for the upload (maybe implemented in PHP5).
On the forum for the scripts it looks like the CGI part of the process has been transcribed to PHP. http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1118868&forum_id=300744
Has anyone had sucess , or are you knowledgeable enough to make this solution work with CCS.

Why don't you just install ActivePerl on the server, and then it should run
fine.
