I have started working with php ,when I publish my site on localhost I get this error "Database error: connect(localhost, admin, $Password) failed.
MySQL Error: ()
Session halted.
I am using xp with iis, do I need apache server for it to work??
AS for asp and access, it works just fine.

Try setting up an ODBC connection with the same username and
password and try to connect that way first.
If that doesn't work, then you'll have to setup a user account for MySQL
with the access you need.
If it does work, then there's a problem with your connection settings
in CodeCharge.

Troy,
Please specify the Login & Password in both:
- Server Connection in CCS (http://docs.codecharge.com/studio/html/UserGuide/WorkingWithProjs/ConnectingDatabases/ConfiguringServerConnection.html )
- System DSN/ODBC in Control Panel
That way at least one of them should work.
This error is not related to IIS. PHP can be used with both IIS or Apache, but in each case may need to be setup differently. If you see any other errors then you could look into your PHP setup.
