When the Date Type is set to "Date", then CCS will format the field when it is posted.
I want a format where it is possible for the users to enter in the same field Year or Month-Year or Day-Month-Year.
Is it possible to set such a format?

I think no.
Only with custom code, where you manualy parse date.
But this some difficult

Another way to do this is to create 3 text control fields:
month, day and year.

This will force users to enter each field seperately, and
avoids the need to use client-side JavaScript to parse the date field.
