hey,
I have a grid form w/ edit
two fields are on the grid {Name} and {Number}
for each record the number field increments
and sorts by {Number} ascending
to the right there is an update form which updates the {Number} field
what I would like to see is. lets say there are 5 records with the numbers going from 1 -5
if i update the record with the "5" to say... "3"
right now there would be a "1" "2" (2 "3"'s) and a "4"
I want to have each number to move down so that the old "3" is now "4" and so on.
I am using ASP with Access
Any help would be appreciated
