It would be very nice if the code attached to a component (grid/records etc.) did not get deleted when the component is moved using a Cut and Paste operation.

I changed the design of my site to wrap most things inside of a table, and had to go through and reassign all the events, cut/paste the code and remove all the //DEL additions put on them for every component I moved.

Why would moving a component actually change the code at all? It still exists when all is said and done. Would it not be better to check if a cut component is not there upon a regen and, if not, then mark the code as //DEL?

I believe that this functionality turned out to be more difficult to implement than it seems. It is currently planned for CCS 3.0.

Thanks for the reply Peter.

I can't think of how there could be issues with it, but then, I'm not the one coding it ;-)
