how do you specify the temporary upload folder for file uploads? during design time, i used 'TEMP' and when i uploaded it to tripod.co.uk, i also made a 'TEMP' directory in my webspace. after that, whenever i try to upload files, i receive an error saying that the temporary upload folder doesn't exist and that there are insufficient file system privileges.

at any rate, can you suggest any free php with mysql hosts that support form-based file uploads.

any help on this matter would be appreciated

Use relative Path: ./TEMP
and create this directory TEMP
