Do you have any other examples that would show the following ?
1. west coast employee signs on
2. they can see only "west coast" reports, based by security ?
3. click a report, input parameters, dates, etc
4. report displays on screen and clicks "save as Excel"
5. report saves with "parameter info" as the Excel header,
landscape, and with column titles shaded gray/bold
Currently I have a MSSQL DTS that will take a formatted
excel file from C:/templates/westcoast.xls, ftp it to
c:/westcoast.xls, run the storedproc, and resave as
c:/westcoast.xls. I then manually add the Excel header
info and email it to our westcoast sales manager.
However, we want managers to be
able to run their own reports 24/7.
Please let me know step by step how this could be
doable and if you want any sample reports/datasets.
