CCS2; PHP; MySQL

For whatever reason I have a data table that contains dates which are held
in text defined fields. The format is mmddyy. How can I tell a CCS label
to format the display of the text field to look like a date? ie: a mask
that will turn text value mmddyy into mm/dd/yy for display only.
