HI
I am newbie to CCS. I am not able to understand how can I cheek any condition before inserting the new record for example I have Social Security Column in my form where I taking values to store in database but before inserting the record I want to make sure this Social security number is not there to avoid duplication or errors. I figure out in CCS there is Before insert function in which I can retrieve the record which is associated with that given social security number and If that social security number is there then how I stop the execution of that insert statement can any one pls give me some direction
Thanks
Imran

Set the "Unique" property of a field to prevent duplicates.
Or you can implement custom validation as shown at: http://docs.codecharge.com/studio/html/ProgrammingTechn...Validation.html http://docs.codecharge.com/studio/html/ProgrammingTechn...Validation.html
