Hi

I am using Code Charge 2.2.3.60 .

I have downloaded the 'CCS Example Pack' attached in the code charge studio project creation solutions tab.

I have gone through the 'EditableGridAutoRows' page and it is working fine.

When i am creating the exactly page like 'EditableGridAutoRows' in my test project. Followed by the instructions exactly given in the folder.

After every thing done, error popping up while test the page in live.

The Fatal error pointing out to non object in RowIDAttribute, RowNameAttribute, RowStyleAttribute,AddedRow lables. then i found that all these 4 labels are missing in the test page.

I can see these 4 labels in the example (EditableGridAutoRows) page under 'department' tree.

What is the problem? What should I do to create all the 4 missing labels .

Please help

Sreeni,
I suspect that you didn't add the labels into the page correctly. The labels need to be added by selecint the "Label" component from the Toolbox (the Forms tab). Is this what you did? If so, do you see these labels in the Project Explorer in CCS?

Hi Peter.R

Thanks for your early response.

According to ''EditableGridAutoRows_Desc' Help page in CCS Example Pack, i don't find any instruction for creating these 4 labels.

However, if you explore the ''EditableGridAutoRows' example page , these 4 labels are appearing. but these are all not appeared in the grid design mode. Are they hidden labels? If so, how should i create?.

I am very new to code charge development.

Hi,
I just looked at the instructions for this example, which are also online at http://examples.codecharge.com/ExamplePack/EditableGrid...oRows_desc.html and I can see such text as:
Quote :
5. Place the cursor within the value of the id attribute and add a Label control called RowIDAttribute. Do the same for the name attribute and add a Label control called RowNameAttribute. After the two attributes, add a RowStyleAttribute Label at the end of the <TR> tag.
6. Locate the <input> tag for the department_name TextBox field and add the attributes onchange="ShowNewEmptyRow(this);" and id="{AddedRow}".
Therefore the instructions look OK to me.

As a noobie myself I ran into probably the same issue this person is having.
I initially just tried to mimic what I saw from the sample by typing in
{RowIDAttribute}, etc., instead of "inserting a label". You have to choose
Form controls, Label to insert a label. That can be done by working in HTML
mode, then placing your cursor where the label is to go.

Maybe that's the confusion here.
