hi. i was so stupid.
i left a message on CCS forum while i am using CC.

i ve got a problem on my login form. (using php4.3, Aparche 2.0, MySQL 4.0 on Windows XP)
when i enter the user name and password the browser shows error message.

the error message is

"Warning: Unknown(): Your script possibly relies on a session side-effect which existed until PHP 4.2.3. Please be advised that the session extension does not consider global variables as a source of data, unless register_globals is enabled. You can disable this functionality and this warning by setting session.bug_compat_42 or session.bug_compat_warn to off, respectively. in Unknown on line 0"

i found out the error message is not so critical and where the error occured.

i changed my php.ini file under C:\WINDOWS directory and changed the line
"session.bug_compat_42" and "session.bug_compat_warn" to off. and restarted the server.

but when i run the test.php file to see changes i made, the php.ini file has not changed. the line "session.bug_compat_42" and "session.bug_compat_warn" were still on.

then i deleted the php.ini file and restarted the server but i can still see the test.php file. in other words, my php scripts work fine without php.ini file on C:\WINDOWS directory. i do have another same php.ini file under php directory but i dont think it really matters.

how can it be possible?

how do you guyz nomally make some changes on the php.ini file?

regards,

brian ( i am newbie in CC)

Leave only one copy of php.ini file on your disk and put it in c:\windows folder.
Additionally, in order for the CC generated scripts to work properly, you need to set register_globals to On.
