Add New Record from Href Source Link

CCS2; PHP; MySQL

From a grid on Page 1, I have a link to Page 2 using Href Source for the CCS
page, no parameters sent, using GET and POST. Note that Page 1 is initially
displayed from a Search Grid.

The Page 2 should just be an insert of a new record. Used the Record
Builder to build the entry form. No parameters.

My problem is that when I click the new link on Page 1 to go to Page 2 to
insert a new record, Page 2 always pulls the first record in the table and
displays in the form field controls. No Add button is shown, only my Cancel
button.

I'd like for Page 2 to just be an insert new record page (these are note
entries by the way). When Add or Cancel is clicked on this Page 2, then I'd
like to return to the original Page 1, along with the original search
parameters.

Where are the errors in my ways? Thanks.

If I understand you correctly, the default record built by CCS should give you the behavior you are looing. Check the datasource on your record - do you have the PRIMARY key set properly?

Thanks Srinivas. Monkeying around with the record form probably disrupted
that default record setting from CCS. I figured out a way around my problem
by adding a parameter for key = "0" expression. That worked.
