I have been using local/network to publish my projects previously and there were no problems. But recently, I've had to publish onto an external web server and so had to use ftp.
I've ensured that there are no problems connecting via ftp outside of CCS and I've checked all the parameters many times in project settings of CCS. Also tried turning off my firewall. But I still keep getting 'request timeout' when trying to connect. I've searched the forum but couldn't find anything that could solve my problem. Is there a log somewhere to see why CCS can't connect? Alternatively, can I just manually ftp the files over to the webserver?
Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Alternatively, Yes you can FTP manualy , i have tried that before. First,You have to make sure you change the project setting->connections( from the CCS studio) to point to the remote site database with right userid and password and hostname ..etc. then publish it to the local machine (local/network) . Secondly, copy the published project folder using FTP manualy.

Thanx, I think that's what I'll do as a workaround. Hopefully, someone has the solution to this later on so I won't have to go thru the hassle of manually transferring the files each time there are changes.
