I've just deployed my CCS application to my website and I'm receiving "Page Not Found" messages when trying to access restricted pages (normally the login page should appear before redirection). I changed the pages from restricted to non-restricted and everything worked fine. I think the problem has to do with session variables not be handled properly on my ISP based website (everything works fine on my local system).

This is the first time I've deployed a CCS application on an ISP's site so I was hoping that someone might have some ideas of things to check. I'm currently looking at the .htaccess / PHP.ini parameters and I think the problem might be in a bad session.save_path value.

Thank you for any assistance.

Bruce,
Do you see any additional error messages?
For example, what is shown in Internet Explorer's Title bar (above the File Edit View... menu)?
Also, what are your Privacy settings in IE?
Additionally, you may post the URL here, or to our support at http://support.codecharge.com .

Peter, thank you for your reply. Here's what I've found out so far.

The message at the top of Internet Explorer is: "HTTP 404 Not Found". My security settings are "Medium", but I have configured Internet Explorer to always allow cookies from the website.

What's interesting is that the url is showing "http://www.apacheware.com/falcon/Users.php". This is the restricted page that I should be redirected to. I ran the application on my local machine and noticed, however, that the url I should be seeing once selecting "Users" from the menu is "http://www.apacheware.com/falcon/Login.php?ret_link=%2Ffalcon%2FUsers.php&type=notLogged". So the application on the ISP's site is showing a completely different url than when the application is running on my local machine. When I paste http://www.apacheware.com/falcon/Login.php?ret_link=%2F...&type=notLogged into the browser, everything works fine. For some reason the url created by the menu page is different on my local machine than the one created on the ISP's machine. I'm now trying to determine what might be causing this.

The location for this test system is http://www.apacheware.com/falcon/Default.php (the User's menu item may be used for testing this issue).

Again, thank you for your assistance.

I had a similar problem in the past. Verify what you have in the project
settings under server URL.

Thank you Don. I had changed my project settings prior to publishing. I checked the ServerURL string contained in Common.php and found what looked like an "unprintable" character at the end. As a result, I went back in and deleted the complete entry for LiveSiteURL and entered it again. That corrected the problem and authentication is now working. You were "right on" with your suggestion. :-)

Thanks again to both you and Peter.
