I have an Access diary database, there is a listings table and a date/category table, I want to be able to create a form that will allow me to enter information into the two tables.
Listings table has:
Name of event
Description
Category table has
Section (there are 4 different diarys in one database)
fromdate
todate
I am a real newbie to this and am banging my head against the wall trying to get it working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Gnats :
Are you using the latest CodeCharge Studio, this is fairly easy just insert on the first table then use the record form's after insert invent then create a DBconnection1.Execute(SQL) there.
that means your SQL is the INSERT statement. The same procedure goes with update if you insert to table A, does that mean you also insert to table B. So if u update on table A, then it is imperative that you also update table B.

Create a query in Access that has the fields from both tables. More than one way to skin a cat. This has also been shown to increase performance in Access.
