Hello all,
This is my first post to the new forum.
I am using CC 2.0.7 (asp with templates) and access database.
Question:
I have a table of service requests submitted by users. there is a fild "Status" in the table and the items in status are
NEW REQUEST
ON HOLD
IN PROGRESS
CLOSED
I would like to count the status and show the summary in a grid like this
SERVICE REQUEST SUMMARY
New Requests = 20
On Hold = 05
In Progress = 25
Closed = 50
Total Requests = 100
I tried to count status and got the result but for every status I had to use saparate form. I would like to see the results in one grid/form. I will appreciate if anybody can assist me in achiving this goal.
Thank you.

In SQL200 I managed this with a view.
I haven't tested this, but I would make a query in Access totalling each category of service requests and the total of service request. In CC I would use this query as a DB table.
Hope this helps

Dear Erik,
Thank you for your response. Your solution is perfect., I used the same concept in my project to at least make my client happy.
I was just wondering if there is an alternate solution built-in in CC. Anyhow, appreciate your response.
Best regards,

Hi navcan,
As I see it, CodeCharge is based on getting data record-group per record-group to and fro a database. However, you can take the SQL statement made by access and paste in the query builder, but I found this approach more pragmatic. I lost track of what happens where in CCS !
