I've just recently "got into" MySql so please bear with my newbie questions.

I've been successfully connecting to a remote MySql database (cw5.5 legacy,
myodbc). The server is slow and has a lot of downtime so last night I moved
to another host I use, created the db and tables and all seemed to be going
fine.

My CodeCharge app connects to the new db, reads and updates it...
SQLyog connects successfully, but guess what...... my Clarion app is acting
up.

At first it gave the following error...
Error: File not found (2) creating jobs. Press OK to end this application.

After applying "Enable file creation" I am now getting the following error
on one data file.......

Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that
corresponds with your MySql server version for the right syntax to use near
"JOBS" (id int) creating jobs. Press OK to end this application.

And this error on another data file....

Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that
corresponds with your MySql server version for the right syntax to use near
"USERS" (id in) creating jobs. Press OK to end this application.

Notice (id int) and (id in) if it makes a difference.

One thing that has changed if its relevant is the old server is using MySql
v3.23.54 and the new is using v4.0.12-log

Any help you can give me will be very greatly appreciated.

TIA
Gary Finlay

This always saves my butt when I need Clarion answers.
Just make sure all of your DNS and other settings match the current server.
It worked before, so I'm sure it's just a typo.
