Have never had a problem with CDONTS on this server before.
Have a page that spits out an email in the usual way. No email arrives and
in
the badmail folder is a file with the extension .BAD (usually it is .eml and
I
can use this to see what it's problem was). I open this file and get the
following details..... "Error is processing file in pickup directory.".
The specific error code was 0xc00402ce

You should stop the Internet Mail Service so it leaves the original file in
Pickup. Then submit a message and you can look at it to see if it is
properly formatted (odds are it is, but good to check anyway). It may be
that IMS tries to pickup the message before you can get it closed. We've
resorted to creating message files in one place, then moving the finished
message to the pickup folder because of intermittent "difficulties" (don't
recall if the error code you mention was specifically one we ran into.
