Hi All,
Quick question. Created a site with CC for a client. They liked the tell-
a friend feature. However, they called today to say that someone sent them
an email saying they didn't appreciate spam from their site. Apparently
someone sent a tell-a-friend to someone else using a phony email address.
Has anyone found a way to try to combat this? I validate that the email is
a valid email address, but is there any way I can tell if you are using
your own email address?
Thanks.
Chris

The only way to do this is to send an initial email to the signing-on
address and only add them to the group if they return the email to you.
that way you have verified that the email address that was signed up indeed
wanted to sign up. Make sense?
