Hi,

off topic, but wonder if anyone can advise ...

Is there a realistic limit to the number of choices I should put in a
listbox ?
I was thinking of having a listbox containing all the towns in the country
(UK - 1,500) on a form.

Sounds like a lot for the user to choose from - only other option is to
split the choices by letter or groups of letters ?...
e.g. A or B, or A-D, E-H etc...

Any thoughts?

Also, I loaded the list up into a MySQL db, running with PHP & Apache on my
Win 98 PC and my app ground to a halt.... when I had a cut down list of
about 50 towns, it ran just fine.

Is this just a probelm with my PCs speed/lack of resources ?

Many Thanks,
Mark
