Hi Murtha, XP is running its own Web Server, you simply have to go to your
Add/Remove Programs, at the Windows components, install your IIS 5.
Thanks.

PWS doesn't work on XP.
You will need Windows XP Porfessional, which comes with IIS.
You probably won't be able to run any web server on Windows XP Home edition.

If you have no webserver on your set up disk, then you must be running
windows XP home edition. Which microsoft deliberately programmed to not
run PWS or IIS (very underhanded of them).
You need to upgrade to windows XP pro Had to do that myself.
Microsofts complete abuse of power. I even tried to install PWS on XP
home from my 98 disk, and it tells you it will only run on 95 and 98.
Yaha.... thanks Mr Gates!

You probably won't be able to run any web server on Windows XP Home
edition.
No IIS/PWS, but the other web servers for windows (Apache, Xitami etc.)
should work.

Don't reward Bill G. for cheating you. Learn to install Apache. Its free and
works with every OS. Unless of course you are using ASP in which case it
won't work without Chilisoft.
