I need a JavaScript that can limit the number of selections to a maximum of
3 in a multi-select List Box. Does anyone know of where I can fin done or
maybe another way to accomplish this?

Thanks

Chris

I found something close...
http://javascript.internet.com/forms/pass-multiple-values.html

Its a single drop-down adding a line at a time. You should be able to
modify the code to limit the list to 3 unique items.

You might simply put three listboxes on the page and have only one selection
per control. Is screen-space a factor? This approach makes it clear to the
user that they can make no more than 3 choices and ensures they can see all
3 of them at all times.

FRontPage has this feature to limit the # of selections but it looks like
it is implemented as one of the 'webbots' & I haven't yet played with CCS
pages in FrontPage so I'm not sure how that will work.

Thanks for the help.

Another option if you can't find it...

Go to http://www.RentACoder.com and post a job. This should cost you no
more than $10 to $15.
