Is there anyway to do a project wide search n Replace from within CCS for
those times when you decide to rename a page?

In CC it handles this really well, auto renameing all linked menu's and
pages, but in CCS it seems that if you rename a page, its a devil of a job
to rename all the linked files?

An example of this would be :--

my isp is setup to 'serve' index.html, index.php as against Default.html,
Default.php etc

So just the publishing of the example projects is a headache, because i have
to rename Default > index and then all the linked pages.

Have I missed something basic, or is the manual rename options the only
option.

Page renaming is being implemented.

if your implementing page rename, is the same system for renameing used cor
a project wide, database connection rename.

I got myself in a pickle yesterday with a similar problem to the page rename
hassle,

I added a few extra tables into a database i was using for a test project,
but rather than work on the original database, being cautious i worked on a
copy, the introduced a new database connection 'Internet2' by renameing the
existing connection and just editing its db connection, , I made this new
connection the default, and expected because i had renamed the original that
all the 'Internet' db links in the code would follow me to the new
'Internet2', but found all pages, stuck to the old connection,

like the page names, there is no tie between the renameing of a database
connection, to the connection in the page properties,

I though about this and wondered if in a project instead of having the
databae conection 'named' you could just have a 'default' connection named
in the page properties.

then you could set in the database connections list, one as the 'default'
for the project, at least this way if you change the default dbconnect, it
changed project wide.

my impressions so far is that the pages are too 'indipendant'. I think the
page rename options will help, but a similar system to rename dbconnections
would be of use as well

thanks
