I find the interface les intuituve then CC is. I understand Studio is meant
as a high end version of cc but I still think the quality of a prgram is
also in large part based on it's interface. The pro of CC is that is quick
to master while in my opinion Studio isn't.
The code that is generated(I use PHP) for me is less readable then CC's
code. I think this will make it harder to integrate your own code. I learned
a lot of php by examining the code CC generates and figuring out what is
does.
In CC I had my first page ready, with menus on left and right side and news
section in the middle, after ten minutes. I've tried Studio for a few hours
and what I produced so far isn't of the same quality as my first CC page.
Don't get me wrong Im not dissing this project just making some comments
from a novice php programmers view. I take it Studio is aimed at a different
audience. I bought the professional version of CC and I'm not sure if I'll
switch once studio is out of beta stage. I designed the company's intranet
with connections to mysql and oracle and it has a lot of custom code in the
events section. Switching to Studio might mean starting over and I don't
know yet if that's worth the effort.

Ron,
I have to agree with you. Learning CCS, partly because it is
now using objects, is going to be a steeper learning curve. Finding
the proper variable names and functions are a bit of a pain. They need
to keep updating the documentation.

However, I feel that once you've learned CCS, you'll be
building more powerful applications. In my (humble?<g>) opinion, CCS
is 10x better than CC for developing custom built web applications. CC
is better at generating simple web apps. When your simple web app gets
more complicated, CCS's editor and html editor will save your bacon.

It will take me about a month before I get comfortable with
it. Breaking in new software is like breaking in a new pair of shoes.
The first mile is always pain.<bg>
