I was wondering if it is a good idea or not to store a large amount of text (html content) in the database (performance, ...).
I use PHP + MYSQL.
Any other suggestions?
It is also for use in a multi langual website.

I have been advised for very busy sites it is NOT ADVISABLE to store things such as BLOB data or large strings in a database as the transmission between the Database and the Web server will slow it down.
You make the call - if it is high volume - NO. If it is low volume and it is easier - YES.

BLOB's are best in a seperate file, then if you call them only as required they do not slow down any iterations through the main data.
