Hi!

I have a BIG problem in my computer and I cannot manage to find out a way to
get rid of it. So, please give me a BIG hand, please.

I am developing a project in my office computer without any problem. After
publishing it (as soon as I finish something relevant, for testing) I can
run the all project in the http://localhost/ccsproject.

However, when I copy the project to my home computer, I cannot run the ASP
pages. Well, I could run them before, but, I don't know why, they just don't
run now. And I can't figure it out. I already tried to configure the IIS
permissions and the NFTS security permissions a dozen times and in a dozen
different ways. It just doesn't work! I can run the HTM pages without
problem, but when I get to the ASP ones (typing the URL in the address bar
or clicking in a page link) the browser keeps, indefinitely, trying to load
it, unsuccessfully, and doesn't even give an error message!

In my office computer I run the Windows 2000 and in my home computer I run
the Windows XP Pro. That's the only difference! Besides that all the other
software is exactly the same (FrontPage 2002 - SP2; CCS - last version; IIS
5.1; MS .Net Framework 1.1).

Can you please give me a miraculous solution?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Ricardo

Ricardo,

Do you have any firewall software running? What about anti virus software, norton can block scripts.

I had a similar problem. I somehow messed up IIS. After a lot of unsuccessful attempts at fixing it I uninstalled it and
reinstalled it, resetup my virtual directories and everything worked again.

Just a thought.

Hi!

Worked FINE! Thanks... But I don't understand why the Norton didn't
interfere with my project before!... It just did last week... Probably due
to an update?! Never mind. It is working fine, now!
Thank you so much.

Best regards and a happy new year!

Ricardo

Have you tried any other asp pages, like ones that did work?

this will tell you if its the codecharge project or your computer.

As far as xp pro you can remove iis and reinstall it

but check on the antivirus and firewall stuff first.

If you are using Norton AntiVirus, please make sure that you turn off "Script Blocking", then restart your computer.
