I'm building an editable grid to edit table "A", which is laid out (in part) like:
Sales_ID | Widget_Type_ID | Cust_ID
Widget_Type_ID is a number, and I want to show the type description instead, which is in table "B", laid out like:
Widget_Type_ID | Widget_Description
So, on my editable grid I used a listbox instead of a textbox for the Widget_Type_ID column, and populated that listbox from table "B" Widget_Description. So far so good. My grid loads, and the listboxes have the correct list of values in them.
But how do I get it to select the appropriate Widget_Description (i.e. description for Widget_Type_ID stored in table "A") in the listbox for each row of my editable grid? I do want my users to be able to select a different widget description in the listbox, but they first need to see what the existing widget description is.
Thanks for any input. . .

Still need help on this. Essentially, how do I make a listbox value be the default/selected value when the listbox is loaded?
