i would like to be able to clone a record from my grid creating a new record in same table having identical values for all fields with the exception of the ID field which will be the next autonumber value for my table, and a column ParentID which would have the original's ID value. Essentially creating a child record.

I know if i build the insert statement manually using all of the columns and their values that i can do an insert.

Is there an easy way to get at all of the columns and their values? perhaps using DataSource.SQL so that i can create the insert programatically?

Following the insert i'd want to end up back at my grid page.
