I subscribe Oper, I would be very happy to pay for an update for full compatibility with PHP 7.4.5 and Jquery library. Any price would be justified if compared to the saved hours.
I could give up the WYSIWYG Editor and secondary languages. And you ?
CCS is not a dead horse if is possible do that : www.autolamberti.it

There is no other environment that is better than CCS and I would be happy to have a "scaled down" version for just PHP..

Fix the PHP and JQuery stuff and keep a developer on retainer.

Worth a lot of money in my book.

There is no other environment that is better than CCS but CCS need to be Active release new update.

having lots of issue with PHP 7 full support
HTML <header>, <footer>, <span> keep removing html 5 element when building code generating/publishing
Include page events not working with php 7
Bind events are not working. Not adding any new events on bind function once you modified the page *_events page

I note that I paid for CCS5 in 2014 - the last time I paid anything to Yes. If there was another update now I would probably buy it.

Of course most active user will pay for an update that contains a PHP 7.x workaround built-in.

So why YesSoftware make some money and your customer happy :)

It's been a while since I've posted but it would be interesting to see if anything positive does come about with this little bit of information. We will see what happens.

Greetings MemoBROWN,

So good to see your post. Too bad that we are not getting any update from YesSoftware on CCS. This was an excellent tool and we developed some great applications with it but now without any support from YesSoftware, we have to look around to some other development platform.

I personally gave up on CCS as it failed to run in Win 10. Opened up a ticket with support, heard nothing back from them. Sent a reminder, got no response.

Not sure what to say at this point. :-(

We use CCS last version on Win10, you need to run it as an administrator

Here's a potential alternative: https://dadabik.com/

Has anyone had experience using it?

FYI:
Running CCS within a VM (Windows-7) has worked well - had similar problems attempting to get CCS working reliably in more recent OS's.

I just subscribe to dadabik to see what they have as unless we get a new version CCS it will become harder to keep running as the underlying software i.e. .php is moving on and we are no presently able to take advantage of it. Long term compatibility might become and issue.

I bought the intro package and went ahead and installed it. It was not difficult to do. Instructions are in English and pretty easy to understand.

So far I took one existing MYSQL database and generated a as a test application - so far it worked as promised.

In coming days I will see how difficult it is to customize.

I have done a lot with CCS and like it a lot. Running Win 10 development platform and latest CCS version with almost no issues for some time now.

WIll update here asI find out more about dadabik.//

Ahoy my hearties!!

I've been sailing the good ship Laravel for quite a few years now. There's a bit of a learning curve but I thoroughly recommend it. Some of the inbuilt facades and functions are so time saving.

It's structure will force you to organise things incredibly well.

What it won't do is generate code for you like CCS does, but for learning a new way to organise and layout your projects you it's a good thing.

CCS by default is comparitively messy but if you learn how Laravel does it and apply it to CCS your world will definitely be brighter.

CCS5 runs on Windows 10 OK for me. Or OK-enough.

I am fortunate to be using Classic ASP. Since ASP is not being updated, there is no problem with CCS not supporting new features. My sympathy with the PHP users. It would be a nice thing for Yes to open the project to other contributors.

I do not develop with PHP so I moved to serenity (ASP .Net Core) for all my new apps.
It has a very powerfull free version.
