I revisited my attempts from a year ago to create the necessary hooks
into the QuickBooks Online API using the latest CodeCharge Studio
5.1.1.18992, and sure enough the latest CCS fully supports (so far) the
QuickBooks Online SDK v3 API calls and methods.
QBO SDK: https://developer.intuit.com/docs/0100_quickbooks_onlin...unting/0209_php
We now have direct and secure integration with our QBO company profiles
from our CCS developed web apps (PHP) via OAuth. The original issues we
ran into last year were CCS's inability to deal with PHP Scope
Resolution Operators (::), see http://php.net/manual/en/language.oop5.paamayim-nekudotayim.php. That
appears to have been dealt with in the latest .18992 release.
I mention this because I see way too many posts about 'CodeCharge is
dead' and 'we need a new version', etc. The reality is CodeCharge is in
a category by itself when it comes to development capabilities, and as
long as the underlying core stays within a couple of iterations of the
scripting languages it supports (ie: PHP7), there's no reason to shove
it aside in lieu of, say, QEmacs or Notepad++! It continues to be the
biggest bang for the buck available for creating dynamic, database
driven, interactive web applications FAST.
