I am using ASP.Net VB in CC4 and whenever I add in an Add Action where CodeCharge creates the code for me, when it compiles I receive the error that Name 'X" is not declared. When I look at the code, it is placed within a function with the same syntax as the line prior when referencing the element, but it still compiles with an error.

Can anyone help?

I've had a similar problem which might be what you are describing - some of the time when you create a control (textbox etc) then it appears on the HTML, but doesn't get added to the .NET ASPX page, and so when you refer to it in the Add Action (or code in general) it will show that type of error.

To check, go to the |Code| tab and look at the ASPX file for the control that the error is referencing. If it's NOT there, then I usually Cut out the ASPX code (select-all, cut) and then click the |HTML| then the |Code| tabs to regerate the ASPX. Then check for the control again.

Try the page again and it should compile. I've only had it happen in .NET Projects because of the HTML->ASPX two-step process I think (whereas PHP and others reference the HTML template directly)

Cheers

Eric
